Monday at cricket club – riverway from 6:00 pm

This group is open to all juniors (8 to 16 years old). The coaches will split the attendees into groups based on running ability rather than age. Each group will be supervised by one of our qualified coaches.

For more advanced juniors there is an additional meeting on Wednesday at cricket club – riverway from 6:00 pm

This group is for experienced juniors (in running terms, not age). Parents should check with the coaches to see if their juniors can attend. During the summer we also hold several special events outside the park.

Supporting Juniors in Running and the Duke of Edinburgh Award

The Club is proud to support Juniors who choose running as their discipline for the Duke of Edinburgh Award. We greatly value the enthusiasm and commitment of our younger members—not just in working towards their award, but in actively contributing to the life of the Club.

To reflect this, we ask that Juniors go beyond simply logging activity for the DoE. We expect them to become full members (with EA membership), attend training sessions, and represent the Club in cross-country and/or relay races throughout the season. This involvement builds team spirit, enhances their running experience, and contributes to the Club’s success.

From September 2025 onwards, Coaches are happy to support and sign off DoE participation, provided that Juniors meet the above commitment.
